Over the past 20+ years, the team has focused on pavement evaluation involving nondestructive testing (NDT) for road, port and airfield pavements, and has completed the structural and functional evaluation of over 200 projects, including Falling/Heavy Weight Deflectometer (FWD/HWD) testing, pavement imaging, high-speed inertial profiling, LiDAR scanning, friction testing, mechanistic-empirical design, backcalculation, accelerated pavement testing, pavement instrumentation, finite element modeling, numerical analysis and optimization, Pavement Classification Number (PCN) and load rating evaluation, advanced laboratory testing, laboratory accreditation, specifications development, and software development. The team was also involved in developing, and internationally teaching, general civil engineering and pavement design courses and workshops.
